For the Love of Peanuts

The Unfolding Text - Episode 1095

As he sits dying in the front seat of his destroyed car, he realizes that the child, his dog, and the yellow bird awkwardly flying about have a very strong resemblance to the Peanuts characters Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Woodstock.

And he hated Peanuts. He HATED that franchise. Sure, there were trends in pop culture that he despised even more (Pokemon, J-pop, the Kardashian family, skinny jeans), but Charles M. Schulz's beloved comic strip ranked near the top.

Come to think of it, he was a bigger fan of Garfield and The Family Circus. However, as the adage goes, there is no accounting for taste.

His vision begins to fade in and out even worse as his breathing becomes labored. Meanwhile outside the car...

  1. Charlie Brown realizes he needs to seek help for the man. But he can't bring himself to do it.
  2. Those beings are not Peanuts characters. They are instead dopplegangers from an alien race who've chosen familiar icons to disguise themselves as.
